HYPATIA AWARD
The International Hypatia Award - HIPATIA INTERNATIONAL AWARD- is offered by the Centro Internazionale per la Conservazione del Patrimonio Architettonico – Italia ONLUS (CICOP.Net Italia) during the BRAU (Architectural and Urban Restoration Biennial) program. The International Hypatia Award is offered to professionals in the field of Research, Arts and Professions whose work and commitment have made an outstanding contribution to the progress of Humanity's scientific knowledge and the improvement of life across the planet.
In 2021, one of the winners of the 1st Hypatia International Prize (2020) was the Brazilian archaeologist Dr. Niède Guidon (nominated for the award by Dr. Maria Rita Amoroso).
In 2023, the President of the International Hypatia Award is the ArchitectDr. Maria Rita Amoroso(President of CICOP Net Brazil). The award ceremony will take place during BRAU6 activities, scheduled for October 15-30, 2023.
Objectives of the International Hypatia Award - YπIA
- To award the professional work of women and men who, with their commitment in the field of Research, Arts and Professions, have contributed to the progress of scientific knowledge and to the improvement of life.
- Encourage and promote the activities of all members associated with Hypatia in similar European and international organizations and institutions.
- Work to end all forms of discrimination against all people who are successfully engaged in the field of Research, Arts and Professions, both in the workplace and in the family environment.
- Create conditions for exchange and collaboration between institutions in countries where conditions of discrimination against people of all ages and in particular against women persist.

Who proposes people to award:
All Associates and Founders can propose the names of the people to be awarded, specifying and adequately documenting the motivations.
